Welcome to the beautiful State of South Carolina! Welcome to York County & Lancaster County!
The Homesteader is a nationwide publication dedicated to New Homeowners. Our primary
purpose is to help new homeowners settle into their new communities - to welcome them, help
them navigate their new area, and make sure they find all the good things their new
neighborhoods have to offer.
My husband, Caleb, and I own and operate the York County & Lancaster County Edition of The
Homesteader. My husband enlisted in the military following the terrible events of September 11,
2001, and we spent five years as a military family - moving often and always searching for ways
to make our new houses (apartments, billets, etc.) home as quickly as possible.
When my husband's enlistment ended, we both looked for something we could be passionate
about - something we felt would be helpful to the neighbors in our new community - a way we
could continue contributing to the world around us.
By publishing The Homesteader, we found that. We love to helping newcomers to York County
& Lancaster County, South Carolina - we love helping business owners find effective, efficient
means of introducing themselves to newcomers. We hope our dedication & excitement is
evident in our publication and in our website!
