Cauthen Family Dental Care is owned by Dr. Lewis Cauthen, III, and has
been serving residents in the York, SC, area since 1983.
Dr. Cauthen graduated from The Citadel and then attended dental
school at the Medical University of South Carolina and did his general
practice internship at Richland Memorial Hospital. The office performs
all phases of Family and Cosmetic Dentistry including Orthodontics,
Invisalign, Lumineers, Crowns and Bridges, Partial and Complete
Dentures, Zoom Whitnening, Periodontal (Gum) Therapy and
Treatment, Extractions, Root Canals and will soon be certified to place
Mini-Implants to help anchor loose lower dentures.
Dr. Cauthen is committed to providing pain-free, guilt-free dentistry. He
offers a variety of options to make sure dental treatments can be
completed without discomfort and promises, “not to lecture patients.”
He says that, “many people put off going to the dentist because it’s
been a while since they’ve had a dental checkup.” Dr. Cauthen doesn’t
want people to neglect their dental health because of that concern.
The staff of Cauthen Family Dental includes seven people with almost
70 years of combines experience in dentistry. Several of the staff
members have been with the practice for quite a while and many
patients enjoy the fact that their stable office environment means they
see the same faces each time they visit.
Cauthen Family Dental Care accepts most dental insurance plans and
are preferred providers for Delta Dental and Cigna.
