Harry & Jeans is an American home-style restaurant located in Rock Hill, SC. The restaurant, known for its
commitment to food, is owned by Ralph Meranto. Ralph has been in the restaurant industry for more than
thirty years and opened the Rock Hill location six years ago because of his desire to stay in the area. (Harry
& Jeans also serves residents of Charlotte, NC, and Canfield, OH, with locations in those areas.)
Ralph’s passion for food started at an early age and was encouraged by many of his family members.
Meranto’s grandmothers taught him to cook and bake. His father eventually taught him about the art of
sauces. Ralph even worked his way through college in a full scratch bakery! In his own words, his culinary
obsession is simple. He says, “I love food and I love cooking!”
Harry & Jeans is a restaurant centered on the Meranto’s family heritage. The décor is designed to be
reminiscent of Ralph’s grandparent’s home and many of the dishes are long-time family favorites. Even the
restaurant’s name is one taken from the family names of his Holland Dutch and Scotch-Irish grandparents.
The restaurant also offers live Jazz music, a tribute to Ralph’s father who played jazz piano in the Special
Services overseas following World War II.
