The Homesteader family and staff always try to be responsive to the changing needs (and wants!) of
our readers. We spend a good part of our time each month, reading comments and suggestions we
receive and trying to figure out the best way to adapt our mission to fit.
Our mission is, as always, to help newcomers to our community find their way around and become part
of their new neighborhoods as quickly as possible. We love what we do, and sincerely believe our new
digital format will let us do it even better.
Many of our readers have indicated that they want more information about a variety of topics -
community events, local businesses, home decorating and renovating, child-centered local activities,
and more. “Going digital” allows us to deliver content specifically targeted to our many different “types”
of readers. We can pretty much make everyone happy! It also enables us to get that information to you
faster (which is always a plus!).
The one scary thing about taking this step is that you, our dear readers, now have to log-on to our
website and sign-up. We will no longer be delivering this neatly wrapped package called The
Homesteader to your mailbox each month. Instead, each new homeowner in the area will receive one
“print” copy (like this one). From then on, we hope to deliver an even better package to your e-mail
inbox!
