Kim Stevenson is the owner of Time Out for Parents, a local drop-in childcare center.
The center is located on S. Tryon St in Charlotte, NC, but is just across the stateline
and is extremely convenient to Clover, Lake Wylie, Tega Cay and many parts of Fort
Mill, Rock Hill, and York.
Time Out for Parents opened in May of 2005. Kim says she opened the center
because, “As a parent, I understand how busy life can be and how easy it is to find
time for everyone except you. I understand the need to have some "me" time for
yourself, or some "our" time with your spouse. As a child care professional, I
understand the need for parents to have quality childcare available to them for short
periods of time at affordable rates. After more than 14 years in the early childhood
field as a preschool teacher, assistant director and director,
I opened Time Out for Parents to address these needs.”
Kim says she enjoys the business because, “Each day is different. No two days are
alike. Kids say the craziest things and no matter how you are feeling, they always
make you laugh.”
Don't miss Time Out for Parents' "Kids Night Out" held on the third Saturday
of each month. It's a great opportunity for parents to have a date while
their children enjoy pizza, ice cream, and a movie!
